  1. Didn’t the Village of Mineola do this with 21% hikes across the board in assessed values just a few years ago? I seem to remember the esteemed Mayor scoffing and explaining to a resident that he should thank them for raising his property’s value.

    While Nassau raised the assessed “market” values of homes almost double, they also lowered the Multiplier from .25% to .10 percent. This actually lowered all home’s “taxable value”
